Enrolling in college in Fall 2020 has never seemed so stressful. Students are being asked to commit to a college that may not match their initial vision of what college is "supposed to be like." The same goes for parenting. How to parent a college student from inside your home, is very different than the image you might have had of moving your kid into their dorm in August. We're all adjusting. Regardless of whether or not colleges will be holding classes on-campus, or virtually, you will still want to know how to best support your child as they embark on the beginning of their higher education journey.
Topics covered will include:
June 9: The Summer before College
June 16: Switching from HS to College Mindset
June 23: Common struggles during first semester
June 30: Transitioning from Parent to Partner (in education)
July 7: How to know if your kid is ready?
June 16: Switching from HS to College Mindset
June 23: Common struggles during first semester
June 30: Transitioning from Parent to Partner (in education)
July 7: How to know if your kid is ready?
All registered parents will walk away with an abundance of tools to add to their toolbox in supporting their child as they start their college journey. You will receive handouts, be given book recommendations, and will have the space to learn the “what to do/not do” and also ask your own personal questions. We want to make sure you feel just as prepared for what's to come, as your newly graduated high school Senior does.
Please note: This series is $100 for the 5 workshops, or $20 per session.
